Competition
From August 5 to 8, 2010, Bivouac Urbain will showcase the best digital artists and designers, in three separate competitions.
- A video game competition.
- An animated short competition.
- A concept art competition.
The competitions are open to both professional and amateur artists.
Registration costs $90 per person before June 30, 2010, and includes meals for the weekend.
After June 30, registration costs $100 per person.
The competition will take place under the big tent, in Place de l’Université-du-Québec, in Saint-Roch, Quebec City, at the intersection of de la Couronne and Sainte-Hélène streets and Charest Blvd East.
The theme of the event, which will be shared by all three competitions, will be announced a few minutes before it starts, at the opening ceremonies to be held outdoors.

En 36 heures seulement, les compétiteurs, divisés en équipes d’un à 5 participants, devront imaginer et développer un jeu sur la thématique commune au trois compétitions.
In just 36 hours, the competitors, who will be divided into teams of 1 to 5 participants, will plan and develop a video game based on the given theme, which will be shared by all three competitions.
The teams will be allowed to use the gaming platform of their choice.

In just 36 hours, the competitors, who will be divided into teams of 1 to 4 participants, will plan and develop an animated short film, in 2D or 3D, based on the given theme, which will be shared by all three competitions.
The teams will not be allowed to incorporate any real life photos into the films. Everything will need to be computer generated.

In just 36 hours, the competitors, working individually, will plan and develop a digital artwork based on the given theme, which will be shared by all three competitions.
